shredder

Identity theft is no joke. It’s important to do everything you can to protect yourself, and that includes shredding mail with your personal information on it before it goes into the trash.

In theory, this should take just a few minutes at a time. In practice, the mail piles up, and you end up standing over a shredder for more time than you’d like. Who has time to shred?

According to the US Post Office, 121.4 billion pieces of mail were received by US households in 2013. Most people get at least 5 or 6 pieces of mail a day, which adds up to almost 2,000 pieces of mail a year. That’s a lot of time spent shredding.

When you get a package from UPS or FedEx, you also have to take time to peel off the mailing label before you can shred it. If you read Your Prescriptions and You Privacy you’ll know why it’s also important to shred prescription labels.

When I shred labels, envelopes and junk mail, it’s really just the parts that include my personal info that I need to destroy. Since there’s no easy way to sort the wheat from the chaff, everything goes into the shredder. Which all adds to the pile of little bits of paper I have to clean up when I empty the bin.

Secure your ID with the self-shredding label

This daily inconvenience led me to design the Self-Shredding Label for a faster, easier way to destroy labels of all kinds.

In less than a second, you can instantly shred the label to HIPAA and FACTA compliant shredding levels for the destruction of confidential information.

With the self-shredding label, you don’t need a machine – it’s all done by hand.

Save time, money and frustration

It’s just one of the ways that Invaluable Inventions products help alleviate the frustrations of everyday tasks.

Shredding may seem like a minor irritation, but the more minor irritations I can clear from my path each day, the more time there is to focus on things I enjoy, like taking a hike, or spending time with my wife, or dreaming up my next invaluable invention.

At Invaluable Inventions, we would love to talk with companies who might be interested in licensing the patented design for Self-Shredding Labels. If you know of someone who might be interested in learning more about this or any other of our products, please let me know.
